Irene completed City and Guilds in Creative Embroidery in 2002. She was a founder member of O2 textiles, the group's aim being to extend its members, skills, and to give mutual support and stimulation, and to exhibit together.
Having visited Japan in 2001, Irene was impressed with their ability to make everything into a work of art, from the preparation of food to flower arranging and the presentation of gifts. She developed her work from the endless source of inspiration and pleasure she got from the Japanese theme.
Irene is missed greatly by all members of OTT.
