East Anglian Stitched Textiles (EAST)
Formed in 1995, it is a self-supporting framework for local artists, with a membership of fifteen artists, mentored by Anthea Godfrey, Principal Lecturer at the London College of Fashion, and presently Chairman of the Embroiderers' Guild. EAST and OTT have run their last 3 exhibitions at Braintree at the same time.
Eastern Regional Textile Forum (ERTF) -
A non-profiting making voluntary organisation providing a network where Textile Artists of all disciplines can create, exhibit, educate, improve their own practice and collaborate to promote their art-form.
Embroiderers' Guild -
The national website for the UK's leading crafts association and educational charity, offering a comprehensive programme of contemporary exhibitions, workshops, City & Guilds courses, lectures and tours (UK & overseas), etc. with branches in all parts of the UK. It publishes 2 national magazines - 'Embroidery' and 'Stitch'.
The Chelmsford branch has left the Embroiderers Guild and is going from strength to strength as "Chelmsford in Stitches".

Chelmsford in Stitches is a new group for those interested in stitch and textiles.
It is a welcoming group who love to share its wide range of interests with others. New Members are always welcome so if you are interested give them a try and make some new like-minded friends.
We are currently affiliated to Embroiderer's Guild but work entirely independently.

Karen Ives
Karen Karen Ives is a member of 02textiles and a Textile artist, tutor and designer. "I am an established textile artist with a studio in Braintree, Essex where I run work shops and one to one tutoring sessions, and I also supply a range of handcrafted goods for sale through retail outlets."

Ramster Garden & Tea House -
Home of the popular exhibition of contemporary Embroidery and Textile Art by leading artists from all over the country. The 20 acres of woodland, lakes and hillsides are also open under the National Garden Scheme from April onwards (check for details and dates on the gardens website)
